PINSTRIPING

In spring of 2020 as the world stopped, I needed a new hobby I could do by myself. Being around custom cars and motorcycles my whole life, pinstiping was always intriguing to me. My Dad is a custom painter of 30+ years, and I have always been amazed by his creations. When I showed interest that spring, he gave me a Von Dutch book, some old striping brushes, a few cans of 1-Shot, and I was off to the races. Hooked immediately, I practiced daily trying to learn the old school art form. I'm still relatively new to the craft with lots to learn, but I'm having a lot of fun with it as I go. A lot of my time pinstriping is spent with the Pinstripe Legends (Milwaukee). Each winter, we contribute artwork to our charity auctions at World of Wheels that benefit the art therapy program at Children's WI. In 2023, the 20th year of the Pinstripe Legends gathering, we surpassed the $1M donated mark.
